CURRY COUNTY CHAMBER CREATES FACEBOOK PAGE TO HELP LOCAL BUSINESSES

The Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce today announced new Facebook options in response to needs within two main industries: restaurants and agriculture.

Although local restaurants have been able to slowly get back to business, many of them are now facing a different problem: finding employees. Without sufficient help, many restaurants are struggling to stay afloat – and a number have said they will be unable to reopen when the time comes.

In response, the Chamber has created a “Clovis is Hiring” Facebook group to link understaffed restaurants and potential employees. This group is open to the public, meaning any business, restaurant or community member can join and post. The Chamber encourages local restaurants and job seekers to use this resource to market open positions and connect.

The Chamber created has created new Facebook resources in response to the goals and concerns expressed by leaders within the local restaurant and agriculture industries. In addition to utilizing the social media platforms, the community can support local industry by participating in a number of ongoing and upcoming interactive opportunities:
