Curry County Adult Detention Center receives reaccredidation

Curry County Adult Detention Center (ADC) receives full reaccreditation from the New Mexico Adult Detention Professional Standards Council (NMADPSC). This accreditation will be upheld until December 31, 2027.
The Adult Detention Center first became accredited starting January 1, 2018. Detention Administrator Joe Alaniz stated that “Achieving full accreditation demonstrates that our detention center meets rigorous professional standards in safety, operations, and accountability. This recognition affirms the effectiveness of our ongoing efforts to maintain a secure, well-managed, and professionally operated facility.”
“Through the hard work and dedication of the Detention Center, achieving accreditation has resulted in annual cost savings to the tax payers by maintaining a professionally operated facility and reducing our liability insurance premiums” said County Manager
Pyle. “We commend Mr. Alaniz and his team.”
