CURRY AND ROOSEVELT COUNTY COMMISSIONS TO HOLD MEETINGS

EASTERN NM (KSMX) – Both the Curry County and Roosevelt County Commissioners will be holding regular meetings coming up next week. During their meeting, the Curry County Board will receive updates from BNSF Railway, and the Eastern New Mexico Water Utility Authority activities. The Commission will also discuss the request to apply for local Government Road Fund Application for School Bus Program for Fiscal Year 2019/2020, and a request for work, excavating, boring, cross cuts or other cuts on numerous county roads. The meeting is set for Tuesday morning, 9:00 a.m. in the Commission Chambers. The Roosevelt County Commission will also meet on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. in the Roosevelt County Courthouse Commission Room. During their meeting, the commission is set to discuss the rather heated gun debate in New Mexico, in that the commission would consider a resolution that opposes the legislation that would impose rules, regulations and restrictions exceeding federal law on all private firearm transfers between individuals.
