CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLOVIS HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 21

The Clovis High School (CHS) graduating class of 2021 announce their commencement ceremony, which will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2:00 PM, at Leon Williams Stadium.

Tickets will be required to attend the ceremony. All guests planning to attend, including infants and toddlers, must have a ticket to enter the stadium. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to The Rock, and each senior will be permitted two indoor guests who will be granted admission by presenting their ticket with gold lettering.

The stadium gates will open to ticketed spectators at 1:00 PM on Sunday. All traffic will enter the campus on Purdue Street. The alley behind the CHS Lego Gym will be closed to traffic. Once the event has concluded, Purdue and 21st streets will be used to exit the campus. Graduates will be bussed to campus from three offsite locations – Hilltop Plaza, Marshall Middle, and James Bickley Elementary schools.

The District needs your assistance to ensure the graduation ceremony is conducted in a dignified and COVID-19 safe manner.

  • Spectators are expected to wear a mask at all times during the event and social distance as much as possible. Bleachers have been placed in the area around the fence to allow for social distancing.
  • Phones and cameras are permitted.
  • No food or drinks are permitted; only resealable plastic water bottles will be allowed.
  • Spectators will not be allowed on the field during graduation. Following the ceremony, graduates, will enter The Rock to pick up their diplomas. Family and friends will not be allowed in the gym.
  • Spectators should be prepared to sit in the sun for a maximum of 2 hours for the event, plus wait time for the event to begin. Umbrellas will not be permitted.
  • Noisemakers (including air horns, cow bells, and whistles) and signs (including posters and banners) will not be permitted in the graduation venue and their use is strictly prohibited. The throwing and/or possession of beach balls, balloons, confetti, or other related items at the ceremony are strictly prohibited. Deliveries of graduation gifts will not be accepted.

If family or friends are unable to attend, the graduation ceremony will be livestreamed via “Clovis Municipal Schools – District Offices” Facebook page.
