Community meetings to update on Curry County Comprehensive Plan

Media Release, Curry County Board of Commissioners:

Curry County received funding from the New Mexico Finance Authority (NMFA) to update the County’s Comprehensive Plan and Local Economic Development Act Ordinance (LEDA) and has contracted with Sites Southwest to perform the updates. Sites Southwest has hosted previous meetings with community members and key stakeholders and has also hosted youth workshops to gain input on the development of the plan.

Sites Southwest will return to Curry County on February 12 and 13, 2024 to host additional meetings to share their findings, the initial draft of the plan and obtain additional feedback. In these meetings, community members will help refine and shape the actions and projects that the County will focus on for the next 10+ years.

Below is the list of meetings.

• Monday, February 12th at Melrose Village Hall, after the Village Council Meeting, from 5-6 PM
• Tuesday, February 13th, at Grady Municipal Schools, from 3-4:30 PM
• Tuesday, February 13th, at Clovis-Carver Library, from 5:30-7 PM

A quorum of County Commissioners may be present, but no public policy will be formulated.
We hope to see many County members there. Your participation in the planning process is greatly appreciated – your concerns and ideas matter! For any additional questions or concerns, please contact Curry County Administration at 575.763.6016.
