COCA-COLA CONSOLIDATING DISTRIBUTION CENTERS

NEW MEXICO, (KRQE) One major US Corporation continues to downsize its facilities and distribution centers in New Mexico. Coca-Cola will be paring down its distribution center in Clovis and one in Hobbs into one consolidated location in Roswell. KRQE in Albuquerque is reporting that 45 jobs will be affected by the move. Many of the positions will be moved through attrition and reassignment, though others will be basic layoffs. This follows a greater downsizing for the company in eastern New Mexico. The production of Coca-Cola in the local area at one time was through Southwest Canners in Portales, but that facility closed in 2016.
