CLOVIS (KSMX)- Clovis Municipal Schools has submitted the District’s “Reentry Assurances Document, Plan for Prioritizing Additional Instructional Time, and Local Plan for Remote Learning” to the New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED).
According to the press release, the document asks districts to provide specific details of plans for the 2020 – 2021 school year in keeping with public health orders related to COVID-19. Though NMPED gave districts in the state a deadline of July 15, to submit the document, Clovis Municipal Schools requested and was granted an extension to allow additional time to draft the plan.
Last week, in an effort to provide families and the community a summary of reentry, and remote learning, in particular, the District released a “Remote Learning Plan” which largely mirrors the material contained in the state document.
The reentry plan submitted to the state as well as other guidance and information for families and the community are available on the District’s COVID-19 resource page. The page can be found at: www.clovis-schools.org/COVID-19.html
