CLOVIS WOMAN SENTENCED TO JAIL FOR ESCAPE
CLOVIS (KSMX) – A Clovis woman was sentenced yesterday for charges that stem from her short-lived jail escape last summer. The woman, 26-year-old Kaitlyn Martinez-Arington, was sentenced to serve 11 years in the New Mexico Department of Corrections; the Eastern New Mexico News reports. Following her guilty plea, Martinez-Arington faced up to 19 years. Judge Matthew Chandler ran her 8-year prior felony enhancements concurrent with one another and consecutive to two additional 18-month sentences for the escape from jail, and battery on a health care worker.
