CLOVIS WOMAN SENTENCED ON DRUG CHARGES

CLOVIS (KSMX) – A Clovis woman was found guilty yesterday by a Curry County jury of possession of a controlled substance, a fourth-degree felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. The Honorable Judge Matthew Chandler ruled that 26-year-old Kaitlyn Arington-Martinez was a habitual offender, enhancing the felony count by 8 years for a total sentence of 10- and one-half years in the Department of Corrections, with 2- and one-half years suspended for supervised probation. Testimony was given by law enforcement as well as an expert forensic drug analysis from the New Mexico State Crime Lab.
