CLOVIS TEEN SENTENCED TO TWO YEARS SUPERVISED RELEASED

CLOVIS (KSMX) – A Clovis teenager has been sentenced to two years supervised release as a result of a domestic violence case against him. 19-year-old Mark Cordova was originally charged with felony false imprisonment for the November, 2017, incident in which he was accused of holding a woman against her will. However, 9th Judicial DA Andrea Reeb reports that the victim in the case has not been cooperative with the prosecution, so it was decided to allow Cordova to plead down to a misdemeanor battery charge. Reeb said the case would likely not succeed without the testimony of the key witness.
