CLOVIS STUDENT MOVES AHEAD TO NATIONAL GEOBEE

CLOVIS (KSMX) – A Clovis school’s middle student is moving ahead in the National Geographic Society’s GeoBee. Yucca Middle School sixth grader Katy Archey advances to the state competition in March in Albuquerque. Only 100 students in grades 4 to 8 are eligible from each state. State champs win a trip to Washington, D.C., and $1000 in cash. The national champion will earn a $25,000 scholarship and a trip to the Galapagos Islands.
