Clovis Special Events Postponed or Cancelled due to COVID-19

CLOVIS (KSMX)- The Clovis/Curry County Chamber has announced the cancelation/updates of many events due to public health concerns pertaining to the ongoing health pandemic.
Below are the most recent event updates based on the current gathering restrictions and closures:
Pioneer Days Rodeo, Parade and Festivities
Last month, the Curry County Mounted Patrol announced their cancellation of the 50th Annual PRCA Pioneer Days Rodeo, parade and all festivities due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The event was previously scheduled for June 4-6 at the Curry County Events Center. Event organizers are saddened by the circumstances but explained they “wish to keep all our family and friends safe during this unknown time, and we promise to make it up to you next year.”
Clovis’ Draggin’ Main Music Festival: Main Street Cruise – On track for Saturday, June 20, 2020
In early April, Clovis’ Draggin’ Main Music Festival committee announced their difficult decision to postpone until next year the DMMF traditional concerts – namely, Thursday night’s Faith & Family Night with headliner 7eventh Time Down and Friday’s Rock concert featuring 38 Special.
Since the Main Street Cruise portion of Draggin’ Main can adhere to all public health order guidelines and restrictions, it remains on track for its originally scheduled date of Saturday, June 20. Event participants will be able to practice social distancing and remain in their vehicles while showing off or admiring their classic cars and hot rods.
POSTPONED: Leadership Clovis Golf Tournament – Saturday, August 29, 2020
Golf enthusiasts are invited to tee off with the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce at the annual Leadership Clovis Golf Tournament held at Colonial Park Golf Course on Saturday, August 29. Golfers will have the chance to win cash prizes, raffle items and door prizes. The golf tournament is an annual tradition organized by the Leadership Clovis class since 2002.
Proceeds go to benefit and continue Leadership Clovis, an organization that brings emerging leaders together to participate in projects and interactions that result in a shared vision for Clovis and Curry County.
