CLOVIS POLICE TARGETS DISTRACTED DRIVERS
CLOVIS (KSMX)- The Clovis Police Department will be beefing up efforts in “Selective Traffic Enforcement” with an emphasis on distracted driving.
Operations will be held on September 9.
New Mexico’s distracted driving laws prohibit all motorists from text messaging while operating a vehicle. And for commercial drivers, texting and talking on a phone while driving is against the law.
With the busy lives we live, it’s sometimes hard to ignore electronic devices. Texting and driving, and other types of distracted driving place all of the motoring public at risk.
