CLOVIS PD SEEKING SUSPECT IN CHRISTMAS MORNING SHOOTING
CLOVIS (KSMX) – The Clovis Police Department is asking help in locating a suspect or if you have any information regarding the shooting that occurred Christmas morning. A 46-year-old male, identified as James Andre Williams has been transported to a Lubbock hospital with a number of gunshot wounds including one to his head. The incident occurred around 5:20 A.M. in the 100 block of Lydia Street. When officers arrived on scene, they found Williams sitting in the front seat of an older model Buick car, parked on the property where the shooting had occurred. Detectives of the Clovis Police Department Special Operations Unit were activated and responded to the scene. A short time after the initial shooting, a vehicle was seen passing the residence and a single gunshot was heard by witnesses. The witnesses described the sound of a single gunshot and they watched Williams fall to the ground in the doorway, having received a gunshot wound to the head.
