CLOVIS PD REMINDS RESIDENTS TO TAKE PERCAUTIONS AFTER STRING OF VEHICLE BREAK INS

During the late night hours of November 30th and into the morning hours of December 1st, the Clovis Police Department received several reports of vehicles that had been broken into. The Clovis Police Department took numerous vehicle burglary reports from various businesses and hotels along Mabry Drive and on North Prince Street. In two of the vehicles that were broken into, the victims reported firearms stolen.
On November 25th, 2022, the Clovis Police Department took several reports, also in reference to vehicles being broken into. These vehicle break-ins were all located at businesses along North Prince Street. A suspect was identified in connection to several of those burglaries and was arrested on November 25th. The suspect from those burglaries has since been released from jail and it is unknown if he had any involvement with this most recent string of car burglaries. These most recent incidents are being investigated by the Clovis Police Department’s Detective Unit.
With the holiday season upon us, the Clovis Police Department would like to remind the public to secure high-value items such as purses, firearms, and gifts in your homes, and to not leave these items in your vehicle overnight. When out shopping, please secure these items in the trunk or covered area of your vehicle out of sight of prying eyes. Please remember “LOCK IT, HIDE IT, OR LOSE IT!”
