CLOVIS MAN FOUND GUILTY ON KIDNAPPING, CSP CHARGES

CLOVIS (KSMX) – A Clovis man could be ordered to spend the next three decades in state prison when he is sentenced for kidnapping and CSP charges that stem from December 2016. Last week, a Curry County jury convicted 25-year-old Tanner Autry for a slew of charges connected to the case. The victim, who testified at the trial, told police that Autry tied her up with duct tape and forced himself on her. Police officers also testified that the female victim was bruised from head to toe when they found her. Autry was eventually captured, however, posted his bond and was released. Shortly after, he fled to Seattle, Washington, where he was eventually captured and extradited back to Clovis. Upon sentencing Autry is facing up to twenty-nine years in the New Mexico Department of Corrections as well as be registered for life as a sex offender. The sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled.
