CLOVIS MAN CHARGED IN LAST SEPTEMBER’S BRUTAL ATTACK AT LOCAL BUSINESS
CLOVIS (KSMX) – Angelo Lopez, a Clovis native, was booked into the Curry County Detention Center following a plea agreement hearing last Thursday regarding his role in a brutal attack last September at Dirty Curry Creations. Lopez pleaded guilty to counts of aggravated burglary, attempted armed robbery, and aggravated battery. He also agreed to name the two other people in the attack against Savannah Sena. During the hearing, Lopez was sentenced to 15 years and required to pay restitution to Sena. Other charges filed against Lopez, but ultimately dismissed, include attempt to commit armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, impersonating a peace officer, and criminal damage.
Lopez will end up serving only 3 years with the remainder of his sentence being suspended due to a five-year probation following his release from the Department of Corrections.
Last September, Lopez along with two other men posed as police and broke into Dirty Curry Creations where they brutally attacked Sena using the barrel of a shotgun and a pistol. The three men left her needing 22 staples in her head, 3 stitches in her hand, and multiple bruises.
