CLOVIS (KSMX)- On October 30 through November 2, students from the Clovis FFA Chapter competed for national honors in the area of dairy cattle evaluation and management at the 92nd National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis taking home 9th place in competition.
Winners of the National FFA Dairy Cattle Evaluation and Management Career Development Event (CDE) were recently announced and the FFA students representing the Clovis chapter included Grant Palla, Cara McWilliams, Robert Myers, and Thomas Palla.
The top ten individuals and the national winning team members received cash awards to recognize their success in the event.
The CDE is a competitive event that tests the student’s ability to select and manage quality dairy cattle. Event components include six classes of dairy cattle; herd record evaluation and dairy management team activity.
