CLOVIS (KSMX)- The Clovis Police Department received love and support from the community in the form of paper hearts days after peaceful protests that were held in honor of George Floyd.
Law enforcement officials were surprised coming to work one day and seeing paper hearts placed all over the windows of the. Clovis Police Department building. Taking to social media, CPD officials thanked the community for this support and praised the citizens of Clovis for past events that remained peaceful.
“Just following up on our June 4th post. As with most occurrences that are tumultuous in other cities and towns, our community has again, shown there are better ways. Through vigils and rallies, our community peacefully objected to an offense that has set whole cities afire. Thank you, Clovis, for being one of the best places anyone could live. P.S. Going to keep the hearts there for a while. They are gorgeous, aren’t they?”
