CLOVIS COMMISSION APPROVES LAND DEALS
CLOVIS (KSMX) – Clovis City Commissioners have unanimously approved two land deals at a cost of about 1.25 million dollars. One of the tracts was owned by Sam and Julie Snell, who were selling their 630 acres west of the now-closed Curry Road R next to Cannon Air Force Base. Mayor David Lansford says the city will use the land as an industrial park for the development of solar energy and any other viable economic development projects. The second deal involved transferring two lots in the 800 block of Main Street to Curry County to be used for parking and green space for the jail.
