Clovis burglary results in homicide

Clovis Police Officers were dispatched to 700 Dawn Loop on Friday morning for a burglary in progress. The caller told dispatch that a man had broken into their home.
When officers arrived at the scene they discovered a man had been shot and killed. CPD officers secured the scene and activated the Ninth Judicial Major Crimes Unit.
According to the press release from the Clovis Police Department all parties involved have been located and there is no immediate danger to the public.
The identity of the deceased male will be released after his family has been notified of his death.
