CITY OF CLOVIS SEEKING REPRESENTATIVES FOR BOARDS
CLOVIS (KSMX) – The City of Clovis has announced a number of vacancies on their boards. One Clovis resident is being sought to serve on the Water Policy Advisory Committee. The committee meets monthly on the second Tuesday of the month at 8:30 a.m. to make recommendations to the City Commission regarding water related matters including water conservation. Two representatives from the Hotel Industry and one representative from Operator of Industries primarily serving tourists, are being sought to serve on the Lodger’s Tax Advisory Board. They meet quarterly at 5:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month, and make recommendations to the Clovis City Commission regarding the disbursement of lodging tax for promotion of events in the community. The City is also seeking to fill a vacancy on the Parks, Recreation & Beautification Committee. The committee meets at > 5:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of every month to make recommendations to > the City of Clovis regarding parks and recreation activities. Finally, One representative to serve on the Civic Center Policy Board. The board meets quarterly and makes recommendations to the Clovis City Commission regarding the Clovis Civic Center.
