CITY OF CLOVIS CLOSURES

The City of Clovis is responding to the various orders, recommendations and guidance issued by the State of New Mexico relating to COVID-19. Effective today, November 16th, Public Safety, including police, fire, EMS and emergency management, public works functions, including wastewater, landfill, streets and traffic departments, CATS, and the Clovis Municipal Airport, will continue to function as normal, with heightened awareness regarding separation of staff from the public where possible. While City Administration, Emergency Management, Finance, Purchasing, and Human Resources will be closed to the public, staff will be available to assist area residents and
businesses via phone and email. The following is contact information for these departments:

City of Clovis Finance department will continue to accept payments via mail, and online through
the City of Clovis’ website at www.cityofclovis.org “Pay a Bill” located on the front page of the
website, or through the drop box located on the west side of City Hall, at 321 N. Connelly. Those who usually pay cash are asked to get a money order and place it in the drop box together
with information regarding their account. Police Department. The Clovis Police Department front lobby will continue to be open for
phone access. Fingerprinting services will be suspended to prevent the possibility of exposure.

The police department encourages the public to file police reports by telephone, and contact the Police Department Dispatch Center to let them know an officer can call them. The police department continues to protect everyone during this time and the assistance of the community is greatly appreciated. Please call (575) 769 1921 or email police@cityofclovis.org.
Clovis Fire Department Stations. While all fire stations will continue to provide emergency services and paramedic service to Clovis area residents, all stations will be closed to the public. Residents paying a bill should place this in the drop box at City Hall, 321 N. Connelly, or online at www.cityofclovis.org. Residents wishing to contact the Clovis Fire Department for nonemergency calls are asked to please call (575) 769 7814 or email fire@cityofclovis.org.
Public Works Department. While Public Works will continue to provide full services to the public, the Public Works office will be closed to the public. To contact the City of Clovis Public

Building Safety. While the Building Safety facility located at 1221 Mitchell Street will be closed to the public, City of Clovis staff will continue to issue permits, conduct inspections and provide code enforcement.

Planning & Zoning requests will be fulfilled by calling (575) 763 9639 or emailing rroach@cityofclovis.org. CATS. CATS top priority is to continue service to the extent possible and to keep passengers
and employees healthy and safe. Per the heightened restrictions to stay at home except for only those trips that are essential to health, safety & welfare, CATS will only be providing transportation for essential trips: medical, work and shopping for essentials. The City of Clovis is asking all patrons to abide by the guidance issued by the Center for Disease Control to effectively slow the spread of COVID-19. Providing a safe transit journey requires a partnership
with our passengers. CDC posters have been placed in all buses along with additional advisories from the NM Department of Health. IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL AND SHOWING
SYMPTOMS, DO NOT TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. First, call the NM COVID-19 hotline at 1-855-600-3453 or your healthcare provider before you leave your home and follow their guidance. The lobby of the CATS facility will be closed to the public. Please call CATS at (575) 769 7910 or email cats@cityofclovis.org for more information. Parks & Recreation Department. The Parks & Recreation facility located at 500 Sycamore will be closed to the public. Area residents wishing to book City of Clovis facilities or contact Parks and Recreation should call (575) 769 7870 or email parks@cityofclovis.org.
● Aquatics Center will be closed to the public.
● Colonial Park Golf Course. The Colonial Park Golf Course, including the restaurant, will
be closed to the public. For more information, please call the Colonial Park Golf Course

● Roy Walker Gym will continue to be closed to the public.
● Clovis Municipal Zoo will be closed to the public.
City of Clovis Senior Services. Friendship Center will continue to be closed to the public.
Seniors needing Friendship Center staff are asked to please call (575) 769 7913 or email
seniorservices@cityofclovis.org. Curry Residents Senior Meals Association (CRSMA) will
remain open for Grab and Go lunches for seniors at the west alley door.
Clovis Municipal Court will remain open to the public with normal service hours as directed by
the New Mexico Supreme Court. If you are having health concerns, please contact municipal

Clovis-Carver Library will be closed to the public. Patrons are asked to sign into E-Books to access online reading materials which is linked at www.library.cityofclovis.org. Books may be
returned to the drop box at the Library or returned on December 1st, 2020 without any late fees. Anyone needing to speak with the Library staff regarding services is asked to please call (575)

Clovis Civic Center will be closed to the public. To contact the Civic Center please call (575)935 5001 or email events@clovisciviccenter.com. Clovis Municipal Airport will remain open to the public with normal service hours. Animal Control. While the Animal Control department will be closed to the public, requests to view or adopt animals can be made on an appointment basis by calling (575) 769 7893 or email animalcontrol@cityofclovis.org.
Clovis City Commission Meetings. City of Clovis Commission meetings are aired live on the City of Clovis’ website www.cityofclovis.org and Facebook page City of Clovis, NM.
Commission meetings will be held virtually. The City would ask anyone having a question during the Commission meeting regarding an agenda item to call (575) 763 9200. City of Clovis Board and Committee meetings. All City of Clovis Board and Committee
meetings will be cancelled through November 30th, 2020.
