CLOVIS (KSMX)- According to a City of Clovis press release, over the last two weeks, City of Clovis Public Works employees hauled a record 198 tons of debris that was cleared from City’s alleys to the landfill.
“Over the past few months, the City has seen an uptick in residents dumping larger items, including yard waste, in the alley,” advised Public Works Director Clint Bunch, Monday. “I would like to remind Clovis residents that there is no cost to take large items of trash to the landfill. If you are unable to haul large items, or you would like to report trash in your alley, please contact Public Works at (575) 769-2376 or complete the form on the Public Works page at www.cityofclovis.org.”
To avoid impacting the residence the dumpster is located behind, Clovis residents unable to take their large items to the landfill should place large items in the alley behind their house.
The landfill is open Monday through Saturday from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm and Sunday from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
