City gears up for July 4 Smoke on the Water

CLOVIS (KSMX)- The City of Clovis will be hosting this year’s Smoke on the Water event where onlookers can expect a 100% aerial display on July 4, starting at 9:00 pm.

To uphold COVID-Safe practices, there will be no ground displays and Greene Acres Park will be closed to the public throughout the day on July 4.  No entertainment or vendors will be in the park and limited parking will be available in Hilltop Plaza and at Kingswood United Methodist Church at 2600 N Main Street.

Roads that will be closed:

  • Main Street will be closed between 21st Street and Purdue starting the afternoon of July 2.
  • Purdue from Main Street to Mitchell Street will be closed starting on July 3.
  • Twenty-first Street between Main Street to Mitchell Street will remain open until 15 minutes before the start of the show.
