CIDC and Chamber launch community branding initiative

CLOVIS (KSMX)- Clovis Economic Development (CIDC) and the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce have started a new initiative to strengthen the city’s identity and enhance people’s perception of the area.
Clovis has seen tremendous growth in recent years with the addition of many new businesses and retail options, and in order to keep up with that growth, the Chamber hired Santa Fe consulting agency Once a Day Marketing to assist in evolving Clovis’ brand.
The agency’s partners James Glover and Marianne Tenenbaum have been working diligently to gather research in order to pinpoint the essence and values of the area.
The ultimate goal is to create a brand that helps Clovis build a reputation that can benefit everyone in the community, from attracting new residents and businesses to creating new opportunities and jobs.
Many influential businesses and community members have already recognized the importance of developing a successful brand for the area, and have offered their opinions and perceptions during stakeholder interviews and focus groups held in October and December.
In an effort to garner as many different voices and perspectives as possible, on February 1, the team will release a survey to everyone in the community.
The survey will be distributed via the Clovis/Curry County Chamber’s website, email, social media and on paper.
