Chamber and CIDC unveil new Clovis Community Brand

CLOVIS (KSMX)- The Clovis Economic Development (CIDC)
and the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce revealed a new Clovis community brand to Chamber and CIDC board members, committee members and representatives from the City of Clovis
and Curry County.

Developed by Santa Fe consultancy Once a Day Marketing LLC, the new brand can be distilled into this brand promise: Welcoming all into the Clovis family, united to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
The new Clovis community brand is meant to resonate with locals and represent a promise Clovis can deliver to anyone encountering the community.

“This is essentially how you want your community to be perceived moving forward,” explained Jim Glover, co-partner of Once a Day Marketing. “And we’ve seen it time and time again. When you had the
tornado when you came together to save the base and even working right now to protect your restaurants. Those are all indicators that you do unite to make a positive difference in people’s lives.”

CIDC and the Chamber first embarked on this branding journey in early 2019 by hiring Once a Day Marketing to develop a new, comprehensive community brand for Clovis. Since then, community members have been able to participate in focus groups and share their thoughts in a community-wide survey that was released earlier this year.

A slogan for the new brand is still in the works, however this unveiling marks the completion of phase one of the Chamber and CIDC’s community branding initiative. Looking ahead, phase two will include
creating the marketing and communication tools needed to develop, launch, promote and sustain the brand, while phase three will focus on integrating the brand into the community so that it can be understood and embraced by all. It will take a concerted, ongoing effort for the community to deliver on the brand promise, so the Chamber is building a Clovis Action Team to spearhead the endeavor.
