CAR ACCIDENT ON LAFONDA RD CLOVIS, NM

a.m., Clovis Police and Fire Departments responded to the 3000 block of LaFonda Road, Clovis, New Mexico for a motor vehicle crash with injuries involving one motor vehicle.
On arrival, Officers noted a white in color Nissan 370Z car in the front yard of a residence on the east side of the 3100 block of La Fonda Road. The vehicle had left the roadway, impacted a vehicle parked in its driveway, then impacted a tree, uprooting it. The vehicle was occupied by two persons.
Clovis Fire Department personnel utilized various tools to remove parts of the vehicle in effort to extract the driver and passenger. Once removed from the vehicle, the driver, a 29-year old male, and the passenger, a 21-year old male, were transported by Clovis Fire Department Ambulance to Plains Regional Medical Center.
Both occupants sustained life threatening injuries. After being stabilized at Plains Regional Medical Center, the driver was transported to an Amarillo, Texas area hospital and the passenger was transported to a Lubbock area hospital. The Clovis Police Department Major Crash Team is investigating this single vehicle crash.
