Cannon hosting 6th annual Cannon Clash Tournament

Cannon Air Force Base will host the sixth iteration of the Cannon Clash gaming tournament, Sept. 20-22, at the Cannon AFB Drop Zone and Community Center, here. The event is open to game enthusiasts of all ages with base access and a passion for friendly competition and camaraderie, and will feature a variety of video games, board games, raffle giveaways and prizes, an art showcase and more.

Cannon Clash began as a group of Cannon AFB Airmen wanting to bring friendly, competitive gaming and activities to base dorm residents. It has now blossomed into a highly anticipated, official annual community event recognized by the Department of the Air Force’s Air Force Gaming. Each iteration of the tournament has also added additional activities like costume contests, art exhibits and a talent show.

Cannon Clash’s in years past have hosted over 1,000 Airmen, local community and family members, and given away nearly $20,000 in prizes and gifts, and this year is no different. Door prizes will be raffled off to those in attendance through the weekend and awards will be given to this year’s top three finalists.
