Cannon AFB enters into active shooter lockdown

Cannon AFB, NM – According to local reports, Cannon Air Force Base entered into active shooter protocol around 12:40pm on Friday, October 10th.

Due to the nature of the emergency, both Cannon AFB and Chavez Housing are on emergency lockdown and all people on base should take shelter immediately.

Until the base announces an all-clear, community members should maintain high alert during the active shooter situation.
