Bank robbery suspect in custody

Clovis, NM – On July 2, 2026, at approximately 2:36 p.m., the Clovis Police Department responded to a reported bank robbery at U.S. Bank, located at 2501 N. Prince Street. The suspect fled the scene on foot. In the 2600 block of Ross Street, surveillance cameras captured him running through the alley, jumping a fence, and taking off his external clothing worn during the robbery. The clothes were recovered by Detectives. Later in the afternoon, information was relayed to police that a person, consistent with the suspect’s description, made contact with them one block east of Ross Street.
Based on the surveillance and interviews, the suspect was identified as Travis Finch, 35 years of age.
On July 7th, at approximately 1:50 p.m., Officers responded to 1000 Martin Luther King Boulevard, the Clovis Apartments, for an unrelated incident. While on that call for service, Officers located Travis Finch inside an apartment, and took him into custody for an unrelated arrest warrant.
An arrest warrant for Robbery of the U.S. Bank branch was generated and served on Travis Finch on July 8th, 2026. Finch is currently in custody at the Curry County Adult Detention Center.
