AWARD-WINNING WILDCAT BAND SET TO COMPETE LOCALLY
The record setting, award winning Clovis High School Marching Band will be in competition Tuesday night at the Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) Green and Silver Classic.
The contest starts at 12:50 pm Tuesday, Oct. 4th at the Greyhound Stadium and The Wildcat band will perform at 7:50 pm. Admission is free to the public but a $1 donation is encouraged.
This year, the Wildcat Marching Band hit the ground running and has dominated in competition. Awards so far this competition season include:
September 17, 2022 – Bands of America Regional Contest, Las Cruces, NM
– Best in Class
– Outstanding Visual Achievement, Outstanding General Effect, and GRAND CHAMPION
October 1, 2022 – Bands of America Regional Contest, Flagstaff, Arizona
– Best in Class
– Outstanding Musical Achievement, Outstanding Visual Achievement, Outstanding General Effect, and GRAND CHAMPION
The Wildcat Band is the first band in New Mexico to ever win a Bands of America Regional Contest! Wear purple and come out to support this award-winning program.
Following the Green and Silver Classic, the Wildcats then travel this weekend to Midland, TX on Oct 8th to compete in their third and final Band of America regional (BOA) competition. After the finale of BOA the band returns back to our home state of New Mexico for their competition at Zia in Albuquerque on Oct 15th.
