ATTORNEY FOR LIBRARY SHOOTER FILES MOTION FOR SENTENCING

CLOVIS (KFDA) – Tuesday, the accused Library Shooter appeared in court on a motion to move the sentencing portion of the case to juvenile court. Judge James Hudson, who is presiding over 17 year-old Nathaniel Jouett’s case, will likely rule on the motion sometime in the next few weeks; KFDA is reporting. His lawyer also wants to have an amenability hearing that would decide whether or not Jouett is responsive to treatment. Jouett is accused of opening fire at the Clovis-Carver Public Library, killing two and wounding four others in August of last year. His sentencing currently ranges from probation up to two life sentences plus 96 years.
