Airman tests postive for COVID-19 lives in Roosevelt County
PORTALES (KSEL) – In a video posted to the Cannon Airforce Base Facebook page, Col. Robert Masaitis, has confirmed that there is now a positive COVID-19 case among the active military population.
The individual was reported to be traveling on leave, “prior to the stop movement order and had previously had authorization to travel” when they came into contact with the virus. The individual has been in self-isolation since returning to the local area.
He was tested at PRMC yesterday but lives in Roosevelt County. It was initially thought he lived in Curry County, which is why RGH wasn’t immediately alerted. After he was tested at PRMC he is now back in quarantine.
