4 YEAR OLD GUN SHOT VICTIM HOSPITALIZED

On August 24, 2021, at approximately 12:00 PM, Curry County Sheriff’s deputies and the Clovis Fire Department responded to 1051 New Mexico 311 regarding the report of a four-year-old child who had been shot in the head.

According to the news release:

The young boy was immediately transported by ambulance to Plains Regional Medical Center, and then flown to a medical facility in Lubbock.  It was determined that the child was at home with a parent when the injury occurred. The Major Crime Unit was activated to assist with the investigation into this incident.

The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
