18 year old injured in motor vehicle crash
On Tuesday, April 28, at approximately 9:36 a.m., officers of the Clovis Police Department were dispatched to the area of 21st and Mitchell Streets for a motor vehicle crash.
Clovis Police Department Dispatch received an emergency call for service where the caller described a white Ford truck that “passed the light at 21st and Thornton Street”. After the white Ford passed the light, the truck was reported to have left the roadway, crashing into another vehicle as well as a light pole in the parking lot of the Curry House apartment complex.
The Clovis Fire Department Emergency Medical Services and Clovis Police Officers arrived on the scene to find the driver of the truck, Chisum Rush, 18, was not responsive. He was immediately transported to Plains Regional Medical Center and has subsequently been transferred to a Lubbock, Texas area hospital.
The Clovis Police Department Major Crash Team was activated and are investigating this motor vehicle crash.
