Walmart suspect arrested

Court records show Walmart estimated damages at $42 million.

On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at about 12:45 p.m., the Clovis Police Dispatch Center received a request to verify if warrants for Jimmy Guillen were still active. The dispatch center was able to verify the active warrants for Jimmy Guillen through the National Crime Information Center (N.C.I.C.) terminal, and he was ultimately placed under arrest and taken to a detention facility in the Lubbock, Texas area.

Jimmy Guillen was wanted for the charges of Arson (a second-degree felony), Aggravated Burglary (a second-degree felony), Tampering with Evidence (a third-degree felony), and Felon in Possession of a Destructive Device (a third-degree felony).

The Clovis Police Department would like to extend a huge thank you to the citizens of the region who have been diligent in reporting sightings of Jimmy Guillen and the area businesses that worked with the investigators in trying to solve the events leading to the fire at Walmart.
