Portales water outage scheduled Wednesday
Media Release, City of Portales
Portales, NM – The City of Portales will conduct a scheduled water outage to upgrade infrastructure in the area of North Avenue I and North Avenue C. Water service will be shut off in this area and may also impact nearby locations, including West Fir Street and West Ivy Street.
Maintenance Schedule:
Wednesday, October 1, 2025
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
During this time, water service will be temporarily unavailable. We recommend storing enough water in advance to meet your household or business needs throughout the outage.
After maintenance is completed, you may experience temporary discoloration or air in the water lines. Running your cold water tap for a few minutes should help clear this up.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office at 575-356-6662 (Option 1).
