Floyd Schools sets the record straight on Nov. 4 election
Media Release, Floyd Municipal Schools
We wanted to make you aware of some misinformation in the September 3rd edition of the Eastern New Mexico News.
In the article titled, “Portales Municipal Races Top Roosevelt Ballots”, there was an indication that Floyd Schools would be seeking a tax increase during the upcoming November 4th election.
This is inaccurate, as we are simply asking for a renewal of our Capital Improvement SB-9 Agreement, which is already in place, and involves absolutely no increase in taxes.
We wanted to clarify this information, and we always appreciate your support of what we do at Floyd Schools.
If you should have any questions at all on the matter, please call the school, and we will be happy to answer them.
