CLOVIS MAN SENTENCED TO SERVE 10 YEARS

CLOVIS (KSMX ) – Ninth Judicial District Attorney, Andrea Reeb, announced today that 37-year-old Victor Garcia of Clovis was sentenced to 10 years in the Department of Corrections for one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and one count of Tamper with Evidence. The sentence will be followed by one year of probation. Garcia attempted to hide methamphetamine in his pants during a search warrant by the Region V Drug Task Force in June 2017. The Honorable Judge Matthew Chandler presided over the hearing and found Garcia to be a habitual offender which added four years to each count.
